We all know that the next edition of the Apple iPhone is the highly anticipated if not the most awaited smartphone of the year and Apple products have always been high on rumors and hype. We have heard several rumors in the past months on what the iPhone 5 or the New iPhone or whatever Apple decides to call it could bring to the table. The most anticipated and expected feature from the latest iPhone is a bigger size display than the 3.5″ which has been consistent in all the iterations of the iPhone and we have heard rumors saying it will pack a slightly bigger display, some even saying a huge 4.8″ display but that certainly is not Apple’s style. Now, we have Wall Street Journal reporting from one of their reliable ”sources familiar with the matter” that the next iPhone will certainly have a larger display.
The WSJ sources do not pinpoint the exact screen size but they say that the display will be atleast a 4-inch one. They also report that the production of those displays are starting next month.
A 4-inch display for the next iPhone seems plausible since Apple has always focused on the user experience and they have always envisioned one handed operation of the iPhone and seeing how today’s large screen smartphones are still compact thanks to the decreasing bezels, a 4-inch display certainly makes sense.
Apart from the display size, the next generation iPhone is rumored to have a sleek metal case, LTE connectivity and ofcourse the latest iOS 6 which might turn out to be pretty interesting with reports saying that Apple is preparing its own mapping solution. We just can’t wait for the next iPhone to get unveiled.
