The user experience on the first gen S^3 devices which include Nokia N8, E7 and C7 and the Anna devices X7 and E6 has certainly changed a lot with the two major updates they received namely Anna and Belle, infact the Belle update truly changed the user experience for good.

After seeing the 808 PureView running on a new refined Belle Feature Pack 1 and the Nokia 700, 701 and 603 receiving the FP1 as an update and Nokia confirming that Nokia Belle Feature Pack 1 won’t be coming to the 1st gen devices, we guessed it was the end of updates for older Symbian devices but it seems most of us were wrong since the folks at UnleashThePhones have got hold of some screenshots of a new update for first gen Symbian^3 devices which is named Nokia Belle Refresh.
The sources confirm the update for Nokia N8, C7 and E7 but there is no mention of X7 and E6 although we can surely expect X7 to get the update but we’re not quite sure of E6.
The screenshots shows the build no is v111.040 and quite interestingly it has a newer browser version than Belle FP1 while the Java version is older to the same.
The update will bring all the Belle FP1 widgets and also some more clock widgets.
The music player will also receive a overhaul with a new look and sorting.
The Notification bar does not get the clear button and Activities & Notifications grouping of the Notifications like in FP1.
According to the source this is not the final build and more changes can happen to it in the coming days. Well we wish Nokia adds refines the UI more with the tweaks it made with the FP1 but nonetheless we have to agree Nokia has done a fantastic job and these updates truly give new life to the now old popular devices like N8.
We have no clue as to when the update will be rolled out but we’ll bring you more as we get to know!
